Dr. Mandana Shaban draws from clinical expertise and real-world experience to present evidence-based techniques that help readers:
Whether you’re a mental health professional, a student of psychology, or someone navigating emotional challenges, this book will equip you with the skills to live more consciously and courageously.
Wisdom isn’t just a trait — it’s a skill you can learn.

Schema Therapy for Grief and Loss, authored by Dr. Mandana Shaban, Sheida Shirvani, and Hamid Haji babaei presents a pioneering integration of schema therapy with contemporary grief research and clinical practice. This comprehensive guide explores the multifaceted experience of grief—normal and complicated—through psychological, emotional, cultural, and relational lenses. The book introduces an evidence-based schema therapy treatment protocol specifically designed for grief, examining how early maladaptive schemas and schema modes shape the bereavement process.
Key features include a thorough analysis of grief types, diagnostic criteria, cultural factors, and therapeutic techniques such as imagery, letter writing, and mode work. Designed for clinicians, researchers, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of grief, the book offers both theoretical insights and practical interventions to facilitate healing and meaning-making after loss.
