Founder & Principal Clinical Psychologist , Educational & Developmental Psychologist Board-Approved Supervisor
Fellow, APS College of Clinical Psychologists Fellow, APS College of Educational & Developmental Psychologists
Psychology has been both my profession and my passion for over 13 years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. My motivation stems from the opportunity to help people better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
As the Founder and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Flourish Horizon Psychology, I am dedicated to provide evidence-based psychological services in Victoria. I hold endorsements in both Clinical Psychology and Educational & Developmental Psychology, am an AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor, and I am a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society (FAPS).
Before establishing my practice in Australia, I completed my Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD in Psychology and spent years working as a clinician, university lecturer, clinical supervisor, and founder of a multidisciplinary psychology centre. These experiences equipped me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across a wide range of clinical presentations, mentoring psychologists and contributing to professional education.
Today, my focus is on providing evidence-based psychological therapy, comprehensive assessments—including autism assessments in Australia—and clinical supervision. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, Autism, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, personality-related challenges, and life transitions. Additionally, I conduct thorough psychological assessments that encompass autism, ADHD, cognitive, educational, adaptive functioning, and diagnostic evaluations.
I believe that effective therapy begins with understanding the individual, not just their symptoms. Every person brings their unique history, values, relationships, strengths, and challenges. I view therapy as a collaborative process that respects these differences. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual, integrating evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and other contemporary psychological approaches.
Having lived and worked in various cultural settings, I recognize the significant impact that culture, family, language, migration, and identity have on mental health. I am committed to providing culturally responsive care and welcome clients from all backgrounds, offering services in English, Persian (Farsi), and Dari.
Whether you are seeking therapy, a comprehensive autism assessment in Australia, or professional supervision, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you move towards the life you wish to build.
