At Flourish Horizon Psychology, all autism assessments are conducted by Dr Mandana Shaban, an AHPRA-registered psychologist with endorsements in both Clinical Psychology and Educational & Developmental Psychology.
Dr Shaban provides comprehensive autism assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, recognising that autism presents uniquely in every individual. She takes a personalised, evidence-based approach, carefully selecting assessment methods based on each person's developmental history, strengths, current presentation, and referral questions, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all assessment process.
Her assessments integrate clinical interviews, behavioural observations, developmental information, and gold-standard assessment tools, where clinically appropriate, to develop a thorough understanding of an individual's profile. The goal is not only to determine whether diagnostic criteria are met, but also to identify strengths, understand areas of challenge, and provide practical recommendations to support everyday functioning across home, school, work, and the community.
