Psychologists are experts in human behaviour who help individuals improve their functioning and manage life’s challenges. They assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioural concerns, supporting clients in coping more effectively with daily stress. Psychologists complete an undergraduate degree in psychology followed by two years of supervised clinical experience to gain registration.
Clinical psychologists undertake additional postgraduate training, completing a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and two further years of supervised practice. Those using the title “Doctor” have also completed a PhD or a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD).
